1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Bikto’s website at bikto.app, the short domain bik.to, the workspace, the API and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Provide accurate information and keep your email address up to date; we use it for verification, password resets and important notices.
- You are responsible for activity in your account, including requests made with your API keys. Keep your password and keys secret and tell us promptly at support@bikto.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person or organization may not use multiple free accounts to get around plan limits.
3. The Service
Bikto lets you create short links and QR codes, change where they lead, add routing rules and passwords, and view analytics about visits. Features and limits depend on your plan, as shown on our pricing page. We continually improve the Service and may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that is part of a paid plan you are using, we will give you reasonable notice.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars through our payment provider and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Monthly limits, such as the number of new links and trackable QR codes, reset on the first day of each month (UTC). When you reach a limit, you cannot create more of that item until the next month or until you upgrade. Existing links are not affected.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. After that, your workspace moves to the Free plan.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@bikto.app within 30 days of the charge.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. A new price applies from your next billing period after the notice period.
5. Your links keep working
Short links and trackable QR codes you create keep redirecting after you cancel, downgrade or stop paying, including after your paid period ends. We do not deactivate them, reassign their short codes or delete them because of inactivity or a plan change. Plan limits apply to new links and to adding or changing paid features; saved routing rules and QR code designs keep working.
A link stops redirecting only when:
- you delete it or it reaches an expiration date you set (archived links keep redirecting);
- it is disabled under our acceptable use rules or because the law requires it;
- you ask us to delete your account and its links; or
- we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable advance notice and a way to export your links.
Deleted short codes are never given to anyone else. Keeping a link active does not mean its destination website will stay online; that is controlled by the owner of the destination.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service, or links and QR codes created with it, to:
- distribute phishing pages, malware, unwanted software or other harmful content;
- send spam or mislead people about where a link leads;
- share content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or harasses others;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or impersonate another person or organization;
- interfere with the Service, probe or bypass its security, or get around plan limits, rate limits or access controls; or
- access the Service through automated means other than our API, or resell the Service without our written permission.
We check link destinations against safety lists and review reports of abuse. If we believe a link breaks these rules, we may show a warning page, disable the link or suspend the account. Where appropriate, we will tell you and give you a chance to respond. To report abuse, email support@bikto.app.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to the links, destinations, images, logos, files and other content you add to the Service (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to host, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service.
You are responsible for Your Content and for the destinations of your links, and you confirm that you have the rights needed to use them. If you collect information from people through your links, you are responsible for telling them how you use it.
You can export your links and analytics at any time, including after you cancel a paid plan.
8. API and integrations
API access is available on plans that include it. API usage counts toward the same limits as the workspace, is subject to rate limits, and must follow these Terms and our documentation. We may revoke keys that are compromised or misused. Third-party services you connect, such as webhook endpoints, are governed by their own terms.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and the Bikto name and logo, belongs to Bikto and its licensors. Apart from the right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer a service-level agreement unless we agree to one in writing. Features marked as beta may change or be removed.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@bikto.app.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, creates risk for other people or the Service, or when the law requires it. Unless the situation requires immediate action, we will notify you first. A paid subscription closed because of a breach of these Terms is not refunded.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not responsible for the content of websites that links lead to.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Bikto will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
14. Indemnity
If you use the Service for business purposes, you will defend and indemnify Bikto against third-party claims arising from Your Content, your links’ destinations or your breach of these Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
Please contact support@bikto.app first; most concerns can be resolved quickly that way. These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of Bikto is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in its courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you can cancel before they take effect; your existing links keep working as described above.
